RAWS Compliance

The Registered Automotive Workshop Scheme (RAWS) operates to allow the importation and compliance of used and various new vehicles that were manufactured after December 1988. Before vehicles can be imported to Australia under this scheme, there are two requirements: First, the vehicle must be listed in the Specialist and Enthusiast Vehicle Scheme (SEVS) register and second, that a Registered Automotive Workshop (RAW) has the vehicle on its schedule of approved vehicles.

Once in Australia, a RAW will then comply the vehicle to meet Australian standards and fit it with a Used Import Plate. After other local requirements are completed, the vehicle is then ready for registration.
